We have officially moved in with my parents and Kenzie is a whopping nine weeks old! Time has flown by so quickly and before you know it, we’re off to Brisbane.
There’s no denying it, Kenzie loves her grandparents! She does not scream or cry while she is with them. She’s so spoiled by them and she’s either super alert and watching them with so much attention or sleeping comfortably in their arms.
So far, here is her tally:
Nappy Changes: 55
Sleep: 85 hours
Feeds: 85
Kenzie is no longer co-sleeping with us thanks in most part to whoever created the ingenious dummy! She is taking it like a pro and soothing herself to sleep! We have started to space her feeds to 2-3 hourly as we discovered that she had lactose overload due to my oversupply and block feeding has helped tremendously. However, this has caused her to start sleeping mid-feed which means we’ve had to wake her and break up the feeds. We tickle her toes and tickle under her triple chin to keep her from sleeping.
It’s been a godsend having my parents and Aunty help look after Kenzie for an hour or two a day. This means we are finally eating breakfast, lunch and dinner at proper times and we’re able to go toilet when we need to. Kenzie just adores them all! I’ve finally been able to complete my filing and blast Service NSW for losing our toll tag that we returned in person at the counter.
We are preparing to fly to Brisbane in a couple of weeks time and I’ve been told the quietest time to fly is between 10am to 2pm. We have booked a 2pm flight as it’s one of Kenzie’s settled periods of the day. We have decided to rent a travel system while we are there so we don’t have to bring our carseat or pram. My concern is definitely how she will cope with the flight. We have our fingers and toes crossed that it’ll be one smooth trip!
Next week we are going to reach double digits with Kenzie being 10 weeks old!
