Style the Bump: Layered Noir

I have been keeping my eye out on Boohoo 50% off deals and I nabbed another bargain with this super comfortable and super stretchy maternity black layered dress. It’s definitely one that will take me through to the 40 week mark (at this point, it looks like I may go past this 40 week mark as baby is so comfortable in the belly).

My only gripe with this dress is that wrinkles very easily, it attracts Bella’s fur like there is no tomorrow and creates a lot of lint.

I do wish that they use proper pregnant women when showcasing maternity clothes. Many companies seems to think that only the belly grows and that it only grows to a perfectly round shape. Boy, they are so wrong! Before falling pregnant, I was naive too and thought pregnant bellies were as soft as pillows. Nope, they are the complete opposite! I used to also think that the baby was sitting on the top and would always wonder why pregnant ladies would hold the bottom of their belly (close to their crotch). That’s how unprepared I was for this pregnancy and why a pregnancy encyclopaedia was so essential for me to read.

Boohoo Dress

I’m sad and excited for my Style the Bump series to be finished because although it has taken me close to 9 months to finally appreciate this bump, I cannot wait to finally walk without having to protect a bump that people tend to not notice is there (yes, these people exist). I’m so glad I don’t have to commute to the city, I have heard horror stories of inconsiderate human beings from pregnant women.
