Style the Bump: Multitasker

by Camille Diamzon

One thing I was unprepared for while pregnant was how quickly your thigh-high dresses (shift dresses) turned into a shirt. So what do you do? You treat it as a shirt! For this “Style the Bump” post, I’ve taken a loved long sleeve shift dress and paired it with a patterned skirt. I know, I look like a pregnant school girl but at 37 weeks pregnant, if any of my pre-pregnancy wardrobe fit me, I felt absolutely ecstatic!

I enjoy hiding my arms these days due to the weight gain and darkening of my armpits. The darkening of my armpits started at the beginning of my pregnancy and it was a trigger for me to take the pregnancy test (and I was 3 days late).

I have become more comfortable showing off my bump. With less than a month to go and being deemed “full term”, it’s not long before our baby is here! It’s literally ANY DAY! Unfortunately, I have not experienced any pre-term labour symptoms and as she is not engaged, she is far too comfortable in my tummy.

A lot of mothers say they miss their bump. We’ll have to wait and see if I’ll be one of them.
