Finding a semi-formal maternity dress without breaking the bank has proved difficult until I found Boohoo and was lucky to find it at 50% off. My sister is getting married in September and she did a wonderful job as a bridesmaid to me on my wedding day and planning my own hen’s night, I didn’t want to miss her hen’s dinner. Unfortunately, I want able to make it due to the fact our little baby made it into the world a week early, but will definitely pass this dress along to a mom-to-be!
Not even being 39 weeks pregnant, swelling and bloating would have me miss her hen’s dinner however, I did want to look half-way decent. I feel like the word “pregnancy” is a sign for retailers to increase prices. Why? I don’t know. We are currently living off one income while I work on investing and re-investing everything we earn through the business back into the business so it’s been a struggle financially. Mother’s tell you that it’s expensive having a child but you know what I’ve learned? The expenses start when you fall pregnant.
I know you have questions when it comes to buying maternity clothes online. Is it Fashion > Comfort? In this case, it’s definitely both! I worried that I would feel breathless and I felt so comfortable the whole night.
If I was to regret anything, it would be that I did have to spend money for an outfit for one night but with 80% of my clothes in the back of storage while we prepare for our move to Brisbane, I felt it was justified. Unfortunately in my case, baby came early so I never got to wear if other than to try it on and for this photo! Oh the wonders and unexpected twists and turns of what life brings to you!
