This is my final purchase in my maternity clothes haul from Boohoo and cannot express how comfortable this dress is. It’s so important having clothing that can stretch and doesn’t restrict you in any way. Your insides have already moved drastically to make room for an ever growing baby, you don’t want to be restricting yourself some more because of your clothing choice.
I love the off-shoulder design but it does remind me that I do need to buy a new strapless bra as mine has begun to warn me that my circulation will soon be cut off. I have read that your breast size increases even more after pregnancy so it’s quite difficult deciding to buy before or after the baby.
After taking a year-long hiatus from blogging and jumping back into it while pregnant, I’ve forgotten how judgemental the world has become. So much so that we’ve delayed the launch of this blog time and time again. Especially being pregnant and your self conscious is affected by all the changes in your body, all I’m hoping and praying for is that by the time our baby is older, this judgemental nature has disappeared.
So far, I’ve been judged by my choice of how I want to give birth, choice of deciding against an epidural, choice of hospital, choice of work, choice of car, choice of pram, choice of work/life balance etc. All this on top of being judged on what I wear and how I look. A lot of the time it’s easy to ignore but with my pregnancy hormones going into overdrive, some days it’s uncontrollable. I would absolutely love to meet a mother who has gone through pregnancy without any time of stress, it’s impossible!
